The P1 Performance GT System is created for drivers who use simulation with a clear purpose.
That purpose may be serious competition, structured training, preparation for real track driving or the pursuit of greater speed, consistency and control.
This system is intended to provide almost the maximum static sim racing experience before moving into the additional complexity, space requirements and cost of an advanced motion platform.
The wheelbase is the Simucube 3 Pro.
Simucube has built its reputation around some of the most precise and highly regarded force feedback systems in sim racing. The Simucube 3 Pro can deliver up to 25 Nm, but the value of the system is not found in the maximum figure alone.
Its real strength lies in the quality, speed and consistency of the information reaching the driver. Small changes in tyre load, surface texture, grip and vehicle balance remain distinguishable rather than disappearing inside general steering force.
This clarity is one of the reasons Simucube equipment is widely used by highly competitive sim racers and professional drivers.
The dedicated control interface allows the driver to adjust the force feedback level in Newton metres without interrupting the session or navigating through several software menus.
During a qualifying session, the driver may want a higher force feedback level to extract as much information as possible from the tyres and maximise precision over a limited number of laps.
During an endurance race, the force can be reduced to manage fatigue, preserve consistency and avoid spending several hours physically fighting the steering.
It is equally useful when moving between different cars. A road car, GT car, prototype and single-seater should not all produce identical steering weight. Instead of leaving the cockpit and opening the software every time, the driver can adapt the force feedback quickly using the dedicated control interface.
This saves time, improves the experience and makes it easier to maintain an appropriate steering character across different cars.
The main steering wheel in this system is the Cube Controls Mercedes-AMG GT Edition steering wheel.
It is an officially licensed Mercedes-AMG product created to reproduce the form, controls and visual presence of a modern GT racing wheel. Its construction, ergonomics and controls establish a much stronger motorsport connection than a conventional gaming wheel.
It is designed to remain comfortable and effective during endurance races while still delivering the direct, substantial feeling expected during shorter qualifying and sprint sessions.
Because a GT-shaped wheel is not appropriate for every discipline, the system also includes a second round steering wheel. This allows the driver to move naturally into rally, drifting, road cars, oval racing and other disciplines without attempting to make one steering wheel perform every possible task.
The braking system uses the Moza mBooster Active Pedal Set.
As an active pedal, it can physically reproduce ABS intervention, vibration and other telemetry-based feedback directly through the brake pedal. At this level, that information can be genuinely useful because it gives the driver another channel through which to understand what the car is doing.
However, the more important benefit for a performance-focused driver is the ability to create repeatable, highly specific braking profiles.
A road car, GT3 car and single-seater can each have their own resistance, travel, response and pedal curve. These characteristics can be changed through software in seconds rather than by dismantling the pedal set and replacing springs or elastomers.
For structured training, this flexibility is particularly valuable.
A firmer, shorter pedal profile can be created for a car that requires precise pressure control and accurate trail braking. A lighter profile may be preferable during an endurance race, where reducing fatigue can improve consistency over a longer period. A driver preparing for a particular real car can create a profile that more closely reflects the braking resistance and travel they expect on track.
Once the correct settings have been developed, they can be saved and recalled consistently. This allows the driver to return to the same braking conditions rather than relying on approximate mechanical adjustments.
For shifting, the system uses the Heusinkveld MagShift Sequential Shifter. Its magnetic mechanism provides a defined, precise and satisfying action, creating a clear mechanical response with every shift.
The Heusinkveld Handbrake uses load cell technology with adjustable resistance and travel, giving the driver precise and repeatable control for rally and drifting.
The cockpit is also upgraded compared with the P1 Essential System and P1 Serious Driver System.
The anodised aluminium-profile cockpit provides a wider range of adjustment for the steering wheel, pedals and seat. It can be configured around different body shapes, seating positions and intended disciplines while maintaining the rigidity required by the 25 Nm wheelbase and active braking system.
The anodised aluminium also gives the entire structure a more refined and premium appearance, making the cockpit feel like a properly engineered piece of equipment rather than an industrial frame.
The system uses the Sparco Grid Q QRT fibreglass bucket seat.
We selected this seat after extensive practical experience with different seating options and feedback from more than 100 customers who use this model. It provides an unusually strong balance of support, comfort and suitability across different body shapes.
This matters because a seat that feels dramatic for ten minutes can become exhausting during an endurance race. The Sparco Grid Q QRT provides enough lateral support for precise driving while remaining comfortable during longer sessions.
The visual system is built around a 49-inch QD-OLED ultrawide monitor. It provides an expansive field of view, deep contrast, rich colour and extremely fast response while retaining a cleaner and more compact installation than a triple-screen arrangement.
The display is isolated on a separate freestanding monitor stand, ensuring that movement generated through the high-torque wheelbase and cockpit does not reach the screen.
The included high-performance PC with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 is selected and configured to run the major racing simulators properly on the 49-inch QD-OLED display.
We install the required drivers and supported simulator software, configure the force feedback, active pedal profiles and controls, optimise the field of view and graphical settings, and prepare the initial profiles around the cars and disciplines the customer intends to drive.
Software and simulator licences are not included unless expressly stated, but the installation and configuration work is part of the service.
As with every P1 Racing system, all required quick releases, spacers, adapters, mounts, cables and supporting hardware within the agreed specification are included.
The customer is not handed a collection of premium components and expected to solve the final compatibility issues alone.
We assemble the complete system, install it, configure the hardware and software, establish the correct driving position and prepare the initial profiles.
The P1 Performance GT System is built to feel impressive, but that is not its only purpose. Every major component is chosen to provide clearer information, more repeatable control and the ability to practise with intent.
It is a system for becoming faster, more consistent and more confident.
Price and customisation
Price: £8,830
The price includes the complete system and all components described in the agreed specification, together with assembly, installation and initial configuration.
The specification can be adapted around the driver and is not limited to the exact components shown.
Existing compatible equipment can be retained and removed from the quoted price. Components can also be upgraded, exchanged or supplemented with additional steering wheels, a button box, different seating, alternative displays or other equipment required for the customer’s preferred disciplines.
